“Form”

Advanced Figure Drawing Project:

Throughout this project, I wanted to explore the depths of the human figure. I studied its complexities, various shapes, 3-Dimensionality, and differing forms and delivered this by expressing a constant state of morphing. We all come in different shapes and sizes and this theme is further emphasized by having the figure vary in both poses and mediums. There’s not a single piece in this film that is meant to represent the same artistic approach. Pieces vary in complexity, angles, detail, and shape.

This was a hybrid, multi-media piece. I used various mediums such as charcoal, red and blue ballpoint pens, black ink pens, markers, watercolor paint, colored pencils and graphite. Additionally, digital paintings were created in photoshop and compiled with the physical drawings to create a cohesive sequence / animation.

Animation was done in Toon Boom Harmony while the storyboards and digital shots were done in Adobe Photoshop. WIP
